year is 1969.. 250,000 or so people decend on an area without decent infratructure.. it rains, its cold, no decent facitlities... not enough food...

people made a big mess, but got by more or less.. no riots, no shootings, few arests...

i know NO had a hurricane and a flood... but there was prolly more food and water in NO to begin with than in woodstock.

apples to oranges i know.. but the number of people and the facilities and logistics were not that much different....
