The station down the road is all out of regular unleaded. Had to pay $2.70 for medium grade.. AM/PM gas too which is probably watered down anyway..

Was the $3.30 for regular or premium?

$2.89 today, and that was the cheapest I could find.  It was $2.79 yesterday, and I expect it to be $2.99 tomorrow.

3.40 a gallon last night, expect it to hit 4 today.  HQ ( Penske) sends out memo (75 gal only per truck)  , shit that lasted 4 1/2 hours , now we are empty. Might be watching all of this from home, real soon.

Who ever and where ever you all are good luck.

$3.19 for premium out here in West L.A.

ETA: I don't foresee as much of a jump for CA prices, as just about all of our gas comes from CA refineries, and they're as high as they get in the country.

Went up 30 cents yesterday to $2.99.  The gas stations in my area have the old style pumps that max out at $2.99 unless they buy some sort of kit to enable them to go higher.  They shut off the premium gas pumps so they wouldn't lose money.  Hopefully this pump issue will keep the price from going any higher for a little while.

Maine has jumped from $2.82 on premium yesterday to $3.49 on premium this morning.
I am suppossed to run premium in my Land Rover, b'cuz the regular stuff makes it run like shit.
But I've tried the mid grade and I am running fine on that, so I will stick with the mid grade only b'cuz I have to.

I paid $2.62 for mid grade yesterday, and $3.09 for it this morning...
This is fucking BS!!!

Quoted from Minneapolis Star-Tribune today 9-1-05
Gasoline Prices at the pump, already around $3 Wednesday, could climb as high as $4.
"We have heard that prices will knock on the door at $4 a gallon," AAA Twin Cities spokeswoman Dawn Duffy said. "Wholesale gas is selling at $3 a gallon already. So put 75 cents on to top of that for taxes and fees and transportation and it's plausible $4 a gallon is soon to be here."

1. Refineries are shut down due to flooding, lack of power or both
2. Port facilities ditto
3. The issue is not on the production end it now is on the refining and transportation side

so who do we have to bitch at to make our voices heard on this issue?

people are loosing their jobs and companies.  regular Joe's are being put into financial crunches.
my daily commute is 120 miles to work and back.  last year this time it cost me $27 to fill up my 15gallon tank.  yeasterday i filled it up at $2.79 and it cost me $38 bucks and my take wasn't empty yet!!!

i'm predicting that pretty soon i'll be working one day a week just to pay for the gas to get to work.
this is bullshit.  out economy is so damn fragile its unreal.

Well I hope we have learned a valuable lesson here.  We need more fucking refineries!!!!

We have been telling people that for the past year as gas prices inched their way up.  Blame the evironmentalists and the DC politicians for lacking the balls to do anything.

$3.399 in UP Michigan today, filled up @ 3.199 yesterday, 2.699 the day before.  No shortages as of yet.   <\rant on\>  I don't understand.  Sure, some refineries got take out in LA, but it doesn't cost any more for the other refineries to make a gallon today than it did last week, or last year.  I know all about supply and demand, but this is bullshit.  Someone's gettin' rich because of this.  Assholes.  I cancelled my trip to MN this week because of gas prices, and the wife and I are going to talk to our supervisors about adjusting our hours so we can car pool.  This is going to trickle down into the rest of the economy, and we are all going to get screwed.  Even my industry, coated paper, is going to be severly effected by this.

The last thing I want to see is governmental regulation of the oil industry, but our state and federal government needs to look into the changes that need to be made to allow new refineries to be built, and spend some more money on alternate fuels, rather than the other pork barrelled bullshit programs that they are currently funding.  I am a Bush supporter, and support many of his morals and decisions.  There are alot of fingers being pointed at him by my coworkers, family, and friends, and I can no longer defend him on the oil issue.  He may not care about public opinion, but thisis going to hurt republican party in general. <\rant off\>
