add some Stabil that you can get at any Advance auto parts store and it should be good for quite a while.

Look into a product called Sta-bil or the like, fuel stabilizers will add several months to the life expectency of your fuel.

Or, switch to diesel, much better for long term storage.

See the other two posts reguarding gas and see the survival forums.

1yr+ with Sta-Bil added to it.

I have about 25 gallons hoarded up. 5 of that is 50 to 1. Can still run it in my truck if I have to.

125 gallons=Four weeks worth of gas for me.  I wouldn't add anything for four weeks of storage.

I think we need Arfcom gas stations. Full Service, but at cost. We can get the mods to man it.

I went to my local Wal Mart today to pick up some Fule stabilizer, and guess what, THEY WERE ALL SOLD OUT. Could this be the start of something really bad?

Thanks guys..I'm gonna go get more cans and find a proper way to store this flammable material safely. I might even get a 55 gallon drum...hmmmmm. It is time, the SHTF is on!

Don't know about Texas but here in Florida people are on edge because we have already run out of gas twice because of the Hurricanes. It is time to for us to find alternate ways of supplying our daily needs in our lives. Gas is number 1, not sure what will be next. No need for armed responses.....yet.

Only put 50 gal in a 55 gal drum-expansion. I see shortages for a couple of weeks at most, but there will be out of gas stations for longer then that as it is rationed out around the country.

I have 45 gallons of diesel in my trunk. No need to hoard diesel-I carry it around with me where I go.

China-Mart has 5 gallon cans for 9.99 now, and they have hundreds of them stacked right by the registers up front at the location near me.  It's definately Mad Max time.

Walmart near me was out and I scored 3 blue Kerosene containers.  Same as gas just a different color.  Hmm, I might look into a 55 gal can too.  Where on the internet can you buy one?  Time to search.

I regularly use gas up to a year old without any additives. Been doing it for years.

What's the CTD?  I bought two of those Israeli gas cans from Sportsman's guide and they had a funny latch system to seal them off.  They require the use of a special "European style" nozzle, and the two nozzles I bought leaked like crazy.  Are these NATO cans the same?
