$2.59 to $2.89 on the same stretch of road.

Expect that it will probably hover around $3 through September, then slide back down (depends on when the pipeline pumps get back on line)

$2.72 and up in central 'Bama - big jump since this morning...

ETA:  Also, we are getting word that there simply is no gas to be had in some rural areas of Alabama - there appears to be some "panic buying" starting in the cities.

From our gas tanker driver at work "Dont expect another delivery for 3 or 4 days"  Our tanks hold a total of 16,000 gallons.  We run out 8,000 on an average day.  Thats probably 5,500 gallons of unleaded, 2,250 of Premium, and the balance in diesel.  Now thats not talking about a gas up panic.  We only had 3,500 total today for our delivery of 6,000.  That was at 11 this morning.  We now have 4,000 gallons left and it's starting to slow down.  We'll get a rush starting any minute, and then it'll slow down again after about an hour.  I'm thinkin we will run out of gas at midnight tonight.  We're the only station in my town that got a truck today.   No one is getting one tommorrow.  5 stations are already out.    So here it is.  I'll be working graveyard tonight and probably be the last station in town to have gas.  Sorry for the random thoughts.  And butchering of all proper grammar.  I'm a tad nervous.  Anyway.  For the NEA arfcommers.  If ya want free pizza and stuff to drink all night the admission fee is: being at my store with me all night well armed.

Tonopah Nevada the place I buy my gas at was $2.79.9 two days ago; last night I went in for gas and it was $3.04.9 at that time. I got $579.33 worth of gas to hedge the against the upcoming price increase. My gas wont last long but it'll save me a few bucks.

ETA I carry the glock in a thigh holster now too.  Faster and It may make a decent deterrent.
