It is commonplace to view a diaster site from the air. On a normal Presidential visit the Secret Service is in the area weeks befor the President's visit. |

Anybody involved in Disaster Work will tell you that a public official showing up only hampers relief efforts. There are still lives at stake here, all logistics need to be focused on SAR. Once folks basic needs are met, then the celebs can show up for their photo op.
