Want to get a "grab and go" magazine bag.

Throw over one shoulder.
Holds 3-6 ar mags.
Sits on side of love handle or hip or slightly to rear.
Maybe has a small center pocket for maps/money/small survival kit?

I like this one, but it doesn't seem to have "quick" access to mags.

Any others out there.

Thats a little too much like a purse for me.

Too ghey for words!  It's a purse goddamnit, no matter how tactical you try to make it.  You could coat it in Marpat and have it endorsed by all four armed forces, it's still a purse and very ghey!

I work overseas and lots of guys carry bags like these. Very handy for small tools and instruments.

Just don't call it a fanny pack if you're in the UK ( England ).

+1 I carry a 'purse' for all those ghey tools I have to carry around.

I guess it's not 'tactical' enough for most mall ninjas, what with the rainbow patch and all.

That thermite versipack looks like a tool belt that a construction worker would wear.  You gonna' call that a purse.

You guys!

I'm not buying one for everyday use.  I'm buying it for a "grab and go" magazine/survival kit holder.

If I ever need to use it, I don't think I'm gonna be worried about being seen with a purse.

Any more brands or solutions?

Why not just buy a map case or a gas mask bag?  I've got one I got from Cheaper than Dirt I believe.  It has pockets in it that work weel for carrying extra speedloaders, parachute cord, matches, map, etc.

Evidently fanny is British slang for pie.   This from
a friend who spent some time in Britian.

Tis true, I work for a UK based company.  The proper term over there is "bum bag".

Just get an enhanced butt-pack and a pistol belt.

For some reason that sounds gayer than a purse.

Actually fanny is the slang word for cunt,  and strangely enough the word cunt over there is like calling someone a " bad sport "
