I am of the opinion that pit bulls are, in fact, more dangerous than most other breeds of dogs -- keeping in mind that the vast majority of individual dogs in any current breed will probably never be a real problem. On the other hand, the numbers of deaths are small and I would agree that a ban on pit bulls would be the wrong approach to the problem.

But, let's suppose, for the sake of argument, that someone set out to breed a really bad-ass dog. They took a bit of wolf, a bit of pit bull, a touch of Rottweiler, and about two quarts of kick-ass juice and bred a dog that will attack on slight provocation, and really mauls people when it does. Not only that, it typically weighs in at 100+ pounds.

At what point would you say that a ban on the breed is justified?
