Listening to 2112 right now .
Well they do suck pretty damn hard... |
Dont think they're gay. Dont think they suck, they're masterful musicians.
They just dont make songs I like. So I dont like Rush. |
You sir please report directly to hell. Do not pass go and do not collect eternal salvation. I listen to 2112 every morning at work As soon as "Lessons" is over my colon usually signals me that it's time to "take out the trash". Disconnector |
This isn't about Rush Limbaugh?
I'm not into music, so I didn't know there was a band called "Rush." Next you guys will claim there's a band called "Boston" or something. |
It's a verifiable fact that all good singers suck the cock.
Some examples are in order: Axle Rose? good singer??? no suck the cock? not likely Freddie Mercury? good singer? hell yeah? suck the cock? till he died of AIDS Elton John? good singer? sure. suck the cock? well, what do you think?? Faith Hill? yeah, she's damn good... you can be sure she sucks the cock David Lee Roth? good singer? eh... Suck the cock? not the impression you get Jimmy Hendrix? Well, good soulfull singer... Faked sucking the cock to get out of Viet-nam (supposedly) Ted Nugent? GOD AWFULL SINGER No question of his "persuasion" either (see: "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang") Oh yeah, Getty Lee??? heh... there has to be a reason Neil Piert won't fly with him... don't give me this "ride the motorcycle" line either... |
What about Michael Bolton? Dont tell me he sucks. |
"There was nothing wrong with that name until that no talent cock gobbler started winning Grammies!" Sorry, verified by the Hit Movie "Office Space"... he sucks the cock! ETA: Upon further review, the judges have determined Michael Bolton to be a no talent ASS CLOWN, not a "cock gobbler". However, the call will stand! |
I like your theory but it is actually Neil Piert is the liberal tree hugging fag. He wrote all the lyrics. |
And he's covered more miles of this country on two wheels than anyone on this board... on a BMW no less... the dude gets a pass for LIFE |
Geez, I thought you were going to say Michael JACKSON. |
Also the best drummer I have ever seen a video of. Plays a DW set that is freaking schweet. |
He sucks the cock, but just a little. A little cock that is! |
His real talent is dancing, not singing. If you want to bother, look for video of him dancing in concert. It's incredible. |
OK, that was "bad." No pun intended. |
Um, no thanks. As I said, I'm not into music--so I am SURELY not into POS perverts "dancing" by thrusting their pelvis back and forth. The "moon walk" thing was kinda cool in its day though. |
9 out of 10 jurors agree. The 10th just wants to know when lunch is getting here |
I can see where you might get confused. They're not gay, they're Canadian.
Damn! I saw the "Rush" figured "Limbaugh" ... took a few posts to figure out it was the BAND not the GUY. Not that I'd be SHOCKED, mind you, just was kinda like, "Oh, shit, first Cruise, now Rush???"
Rush is the grand daddy of "acid Rock" bands. Most lyrics referred to LSD usage, altered states and all that metaphysical shit. Hell of a drummer though.hippie.gif
Wait until we tell you about "Chicago." G |
Have you ever even listened to any of Pearts lyrics? Neil is a libertarian, not a liberal tree hugger unless you know something I don't. Ever listen to "The Trees"? "Freewill"? "Tom Sawyer"? |
You are correct sir! |
You beat me to it. The lirics to "The Trees" aren't exactly liberal! I don't really like anything Rush has done since about 1984 or so. The last album I liked was "Grace Under Pressure". |

I read that Hendrix served in the Army with the 101st Airborne, that he broke his ankle and was discharged in the early 60's before the US got involved in Vietnam. ETA: He was discharged in 1962: www.inet.hr/~abubalo/biogrphy/biogrphy.html

So you're what - more of an Eminem kind of guy? |
I feel sorta the same about the late 80's/early 90's stuff . But the last album they did and played a lot of in their farewell tour last year had some pretty kickass stuff. Granted, they evolved some and it's not like the early stuff but still quite good. FWIW, I read long ago that the guys of Led Zep in their hayday were pretty impressed with Rush when they came along... When I worked in Texas in the early 80's, I remember a native Texan telling me that not too long in the past Rush had come thru and opened for ZZ Top. He said Rush was impressive enough that a lot of people left after they played and didn't hang around to see ZZ Top. And this was in TEXAS. |

HA HA HA, you don't know everybody. I'll bet I could keep up with you as far as miles logged on the road, and that was before I was out of high school. I remember a couple of years ago a guy I worked with and I were discussing the song "Turn the page" By Bob Seager. I've always thought this song although pretty good was also pretty worthless as to me it sounds like he is whinning about doing something he loves and gets paid a lot of money for. Well, fella's response was " you just don't know how the road can be." I asked him when was the last time he had been coast to coast? He replied he had never been out of TN? Anyway, I still make frequent road trips the one most recent was 17 hours stopping only for gas. Sure , there are people who drive more than that on a regular bases but, nobody I know, except maybe for you. |
LOL Not even close. (although that "Slim Shady" tune was pretty catchy ) |
WOW. I see that you know jack shit about Rush. The main lyricist for Ruch is Neil Pert. Pert is an Objectivist......Objectivists make Staunch Republicans look like a bunch of whiny fags......and Libertarians look like a bunch of nambla supporters....which, apparently they have become. Ever LISTEN to the song, the Trees???? Ever listen to Freewill? Tom Sawyer? Presto? EVER actually LISTEN to a single Rush tune???? |
Wasn’t Rush arrested for soliciting a gay man in Pittsburgh while he was broadcasting under the name “Jeff Christie” for KQV radio?
Same here. Never heard the new Rush album but I like several of their old songs. Pink Floyd rules! Guess I'm stuck in the 80's 556man |
Rush is considered to be one the absolutely most talented trio in the music business. I've been following Rush since before "Tom Sawyer" and EVERYONE who has a real appreciation for music that I've talked to since feels the same way. It's interesting, all the musicians I've known since that time, ( and I've known quite a few) all feel that Rush is a fantasticly talented band.
Even modern bands will tell you that Rush is awesome. I have "Hemispheres" in my truck as we speak. |
"Caress of Steel", "Signals" and "Presto" in the SuperJeep! |
+1 I only clicked this thread because I thought it was about el-Rushbo! Never dawned on me that it was the band! |
