Yes, I am a little north for Katrina but it is putting me out of work anyway. Also, there is just something about the night before a hurricane passes. I cant explain it but it's something you can feel and it's just right for sitting on your deck and smoking a cigar.
Brand and cut? Let me qualify and say I am no cognoscenti but I have taste and I know what I like.
This cigar was given to me by a Colonel in the Honduran Airforce, I met him last yera when I travelled there. I never made the trip this year but he gave two cigars to a friend of mine to bring back for me. He told him that they were very special cigars.
Well I looked at them and labels were not encouraging having "Bacaraat-The Game-Imported" and a few playing cards on them. I put them away and wondered what the deal was.
Then it dawned on me: This Colonel wouldnt send me a cheap cigar and the cigar had no Honduran markings and said imported on the label. Where would Honduras import cigars from?
Cuba!
I'm no cigar expert but I've smoked a few Cubies and they were the best cigars I'd ever smoked. Heads and tails over any others.
This one was a Cuban. Ahhh!
I bet the label is a little wink for for customs.
