It's unamerican.........not to have one in your closet or safe.....
Well, actually I'm a foreign national not a US citizen yet. And I don't have a Garand. But I'm working on both (citizenship and Garand). |
Working on it. Got other things that are ahead of it on the list.
I have a 1919... in peices anyways. That'll be my .308 gun...
Why don't I have one? Because I have two.
How could anyone not want a battle axe like that? |
I've got 7 |
Got clips and ammo. Trying to find one. Anybody know were one is all USGI , can't get one from cmp no ranges they accept around here.
I won't buy one because it has all that brown crap all over it.
What do you call it? Oh yeah, WOOD. |
I don't have one because my wife has a WWII Springfield Garand (matching, even has an uncut op rod). She got it from the DCM back in 1993 or so for about $250. But, once they are imported again I will get one for myself.
It's almost sad when I think back to the days when I could have got one at a Sears or Woolworths store for about $250.... Then I put it off when I could have got them through the CMP for $300 or so... and yet I still don't have one.....
Personally, I keep buying other guns first... Hell, I still want an M1A but I don't have one of those either... Kind of sucks to have so many guns and still find more that you just got to have.... |
I'm getting one of my own this fall. I love them. I love them so much, that my new gmail account venerates the Garand.
Hey, where'd you get the leather sling holder thingy on the stock of the top gun? that is awesome. |
USGI Service Grade
CAL 30 M1 H & R ARMS CO. 550472X |
That is not a Garand. BTW, the only Garand to have is an actual USGI Garand, not ANY of the overpriced aftermarket ones. |
i only have 3 but i do have 2 1919s |
After i posted this I finally figured it out.....
The reason I don't have a M1 Garrand yet is because the Democrats didn't try to tell me I can't have one.... It's the Liberals Fault |
I have a 53 all Springfield Garand. It is, after all, designed by a Canuck.
check your im BOX. I CAN HOOK A BROTHER UP. |
Beer, my graduation present to myself is going to be one too, but I'm not sure I can wait until the store opening. |
I have one from each maker of USGI Garands. My first was a SA, then I got my Winchester, then the International Harvester, and finally my Harrington & Richardson. I love them all.
I have 2 rack grade Greeks.
'43 SA with a throat erosion of 2 '54 H&R also with a TE of 2 WooHOO |
Umm because I have an AR-15 (several actually) and don't want/need to take on another caliber. If I want to shoot one I know several people with them. |
Am getting a CMP 1903a3 Springfield.
The Garand just doesn't do anything for me. Would rather have a nice Mauser. wganz ¶ |
Fine rifle - just not my style Anxious to see how my .308 AR works out...........I know - Patton would be VERY angry at me lol........
'Cause it's heavy, & loud, & kicks too hard. And Mommy says I'll poke my eye out w/that
bay-o-net thingy. If/when $$$ permits I would love to have one (or 5). All these Garand pics are giving me wood |
BLASPHEMY! |
Is this all of the USGI manufacturers? If not, can someone name them for me. I am considering getting one, but haven't done the required countless hours of research that my warped mind makes me do before I can make any substantial purchase |
Thats it only 4. |
Thanks, I really appreciate it. Any particular make, or year better to have? |
Why haven't you given me the money needed to purchase said M1Garand?
I have been looking for a CMP club to join and do matches again... All these M1 pics really make me think that after I join a CMP club and I really should send in for a M1 of my own.... Awsome looking guns you guys own!
