In the Swiss capital, Bern, helicopters were used to pluck people from rooftops as rising water and strong currents hampered evacuations. Worst affected is Romania, where seven elderly people were killed on Wednesday bringing deaths there to 25. The rain has eased in some parts, but forecasters warn there is more ahead. That's probably what Florida and much of the southeastern US will look by the weekend also, with Katrina coming ashore.

Oh, I hope it dries up before the 8th. I'm headed there myself. Southern part of the country though. I'll have to look it up to see if it is flooded.
