Anyone who has lived on an Air Force base, or probably any military installation I would imagine, has probably experienced this.

-Start working when reville plays in the morning
-Go to lunch when the noon whistle goes off
-Go home when retreat plays in the afternoon
-Go to bed when you hear taps played at night

The worst part is, by now it's just routine.  I realized this about 12 minutes ago when I heard taps.

I'm not sure I'd go that far.  I prefer to call it serving my country.  I don't feel oppressed.  I could probably leave whenever I'd like to and make twice what I do now.  I won't speak for anyone else on the issue though...

you dont find it interestingly ironic that it takes a scocialist/communist organization to defend Democracy?

Think about it:

can you quit your job?
do you get payed at a flat rate?
are you free as a regular citizen?
Do you get payed enough?
Are you surrounded by pedantic safety police?

Im not saying its wrong, in fact it is nessesary. We dont want our troops to quit when the shit hits the fan. We need this organization to be the way it is. However, that said...it is ironic, isnt it.
