I was flipping through the channels last night and saw a movie where all the charaters were holding machine guns that looked simular to an AR15 with a minigun barrel on it. These are the only pics I can find of the gun being used. The movies name is "deep rising".

Anybody know what it is or is it just a movie prop? Either way, its badass and I want one.

It's the totally secret Armalite XM134E1 prototype personal minigun.

[Neo] Woah! [/Neo]

Looks nice, but I suspect, like the other posters, that it's just another Hollyweird fantasy gun.

Thank God they're preemptively banned in CA though I feel safer.

The rear part reminds me of a Calico, then it looks like they used an M203 handguard for the front and just made up the rest.

Phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range?

Someone needs to make a damn .22 long rifle minigun.

I remember it from a movie called Oops "Deep Rising". Prop gun. Utter nonsense.  You couldn't carry enough ammo to warrant five barrels.

A Calico carbine is the base, and then the propmaster built a bunch of plastic stuff around it to make it look futuristic.

WRONG! It's the Armalite XM134E2. The earlier E1's prototype was totally unreliable and was redesigned. The E2's however kick some serious sea-monster ass!

Don't believe a word of old James Bond here, that's a prototype Lee Enfield/Armalite XM134E2. Another british coverup!

Incorrect. The Lee-Enfield variant has 7 barrels.
At least mine does.

I just saw a documentary of Eugene Stoner storming a beachfront while bumpfiring that rifle in the enemy's general direction.

For those Nintendo 64 lovers, it is the FIRESTORM CANNON! from Turok 2. That thing was the shit.

The hot chick runs around in a damp t-shirt for half the film and you are looking at the gun?

Fag.

I think it uses clips like the Garand, and you can refill them with a stripper. A 36-24 35 works best.

It's an early prototype of the Shrike .  I hear they're supposed to begin production any day now.

I have seen 9 threads in different gun forums about this.  As stated, Calico with cosmetic rotating barrels for effect.  Neat to see in the movie.

Wasn't Al Pacino in that flick? I think I saw him in some other movie with a gun like that.
