I would like a recommendation from you guys as to a reasonably priced soft gun case for my AR15s and FALs. I am not looking for top of the line as I think that I may need four of them.
I am leaning toward the Blackhawks that Botach has on sale for $60 now.

I was also thinking of putting 2 of my rifles in a no-rust bag inside one of the blackhawk cases and hiding it away in the attic. Would there be any problems in doing this?

I have used the Blackhawk and Shooting Systems soft cases for an AR15. They are both well made with plenty of padding, in my experience. tx50

Galati makes a first rate case for $47. I have used several brands and Galati seems to be the best made IMO.

I have the Galati King case and it's pretty cool.  Not sure that the Galati case is worth that much more than the king..I think it has thicker foam vs. the king case.  Both are closed-cell, pvc, etc.  I do love the padded shoulder strap.  Looks nice too.
Well I just looked and it's $5 difference between the 44" King and the rest of the Galati line.  The 37" King case is $38, though.  It will fit for M4's and carbines (16" barrel on fixed telestock will fit).

Got some at a gunshow, $25 each or 4 for $80.  Made by ACE.  Not bad.  After 9 mo. of use no noticeable wear. Mag pouches are on the side, shoulder strap and carry handle, are provided.  But, be advised that an AR, with a carry handle mounted scope or red dot, may not fit.  For the price ...not bad.

Thanks for the feedback. I think that I will settle for the Galiti.

Great idea!  You should've posted that under "urban camouflage".

I've been looking as well, been leaning towards the Galati.

if you're going to store them in a soft case + rust-bag, you should throw a small desiccant pack in there and seal it up good. a soft case will absorb and hold moisture, the rust bag may keep it off your rifle(s) but moisture may get inside the bag itself, and you won't want to see the effects months from now!!

The Cases below are from Hafner and are FAR Superior to even the Galati Cases. These feature a Lifetime garantee and are made in the USA. They have 5 Mag Pockets on the side plus an accessory pocket. Best feature of all is the 1.5" of Foam Padding on each side. This is the best Soft Case on the Market IMHO. I have used one of these to tote my Rifle at Camp Perry since 1993. Also has shoulder straps and carry handle.
They come in 42" (Standard AR) and 46" (Space Gun type) cases and are $65.00 each.

I tried to tell'em.  The Hafner range bags and fanny packs are the best, too.  I could easily put over 100 pounds in my range bag and carry it with no worry of damage to the bag.

Surprised no one mentioned the best cases:  Eagle.  Marines use their cases for the M-4 CQB weapon.  The case will hold an M-4 with an M-203 and Aimpoint sight.  That case is the somewhat triangular weapons case.

Eagle also makes an excellant discrete weapons case.

I am not a fan of Blackhawk's discrete cases.  A friend had a very nice Blackhawk discrete case.  However, when I tried to order one (at the start of the big 'honor is everything' ad campaign), I found that they had really cheapened the case.  For example, they only had one velcro attachment to keep the gun from sliding around.

I have a Hafner Pistol Range bag that is very nice too. I have used it for many years with no problems.
