It was bad enough when I head The Ig's "Lust for Life" being used in a cruise line ad, then for Nissan.
 Now AC/DC's "Back in Black" (25 years ago this month, boys & girls) is being used in a cell phone ad.  What's the Lumpy-ism? FAYA.

I'm still trying to convince myself that I was the youngest patient ever admitted to the cardiac unit...
I mean, come on, I'm only The guys I went to school with are all fourty nine, most are fat, balding, and look rather...mature. How the hell does that happen? |

I was brought to a sudden shocking halt the other day while grocery shopping.
The muzak was Led Zeppelin. Not a muzak version of Led Zeppelin, the original cut. I almost just walked out of the store, leaving the shopping cart in the aisle. Fuck. I'm old. |

Somebody actually had the nerve to tell me last week that my long hair, Scorpions t-shirt, ripped up jeans with close-pinned holes, and untied high-tops was "so 80s" as they put it.

Funny that you mention this. I was thinking the same thing when I saw the ad. It first hit me a year or so ago when I heard Hendrix in a Pontiac ad. Crosstown Traffic was the song. I have that Iggy vinyl. "Choice Cuts" I think it is. Although that may be a best of, I can't remember. I think it's funny too that they cut the song off before the 'we're delivering drugs' line. Of course I've had it in the ear before.  TC |
