The 1911 is a new Springfield Armory milspec. The lugar is dated 1939 and the Nambu is dated Nov. 1929. I have shot the Nambu. At a dollar a round it was still worth it to shoot a gun that probably hasnt been fired in over 50 years.

I've always wondered if the Nambu was the inspiration for the Ruger MKI

My gun guy has a luger, in .45 acp, with a detachable stock, and it's stainless, and mint.  Any ideas as to what it's worth.  He's had it authenticated and it is real, but he doesn't have a clue as to what it's worth.  The estimates he's gotten are between 10 grand and 100 grand.

ETA: and its got like a 10 inch barrel.

The Nambu and the Luger are very cool, but the Springfield doesn't count. Not a bad gun, just not a real period piece. You definitely need to get a WWII 1911A1 to complement the Nambu and Luger.

Here's my WWII collection. Ithaca 1911A1 (made 1945), Winchester Garand (made October 1942), and IBM Carbine (made sometime between 1942-45).

Get a Webley, a Nagant revolver, then get an M1 Garand, K98, Arisaka, Enfield, and a Mosin Nagant. Then you could have guns from all the countries. (Italy doesn't count!)

it is not original. there is no way that the germans made a stainless luger in the early 1900s. there have been a few custom gun makers that have made lugers recently.
there is only 1 original 45acp luger left. it is valued at over 1 million dollars. it is said to be the most expensive firearm in the world. there were a few made for the trials that eventualy had us adopt the 1911. only 1 of the lugers is said to still be with us.

The thing he found said there were 6 but I don't know fuck all about guns like that.  He had several in that safe that were damned nice.  He said all of them were collectible and worth a lot of money.  He got them from a guy that thought they were all replicas and paid 3 grand for all 12 of them.  He said he knew 3 or 4 were real when he saw them and one of those was worth more than what he paid for all of them.  I didn't see many of them but I was impressed.  I'd still rather have the m-21 he had though.  I love me some Garands and M1As.  I'm a history nut so I LOVE this thread.  Keep the pics coming ya'll.

I doubt anyone "stocks" them.  Your best bet would be to find a reputable gun dealer and if they are a gun nut (what gun dealer isn't) they either have one or know someone that does.  Be prepared to drop some money.  Of course you can get a brand new milspec springfield for 5 to 7 bills.  Pretty much the same thing.
