... Was nice to get up the cool mountains for a weekend of shooting. blasting, laughter, BBQs, bonfires, visiting old friends & making new ones. Lots of folks met for pizza & beer in Pinetop Friday night prior to camping.
... The 90MM cannon (Damage, Inc.) was obviously a huge hit. We lit up a 5 gallon bucket of Tannerite, lots of night-time belt-fed tracer work. Was a barrel of laughs. Maybe got three hours of sleep Friday & Saturday nights. Constant gunfire from 8AMish to midnight - Can't get more fun than that! ... More pics and video of the cannon to follow (.MOV) LIGHTING A BONFIRE THE AZ WAY (More .WMV formatted videos of cannon and Tannerite further down in this thread) - Checking nitrogen level prior to firing - Go belt-fed or go home - Live round - Riding the cannon - Looking for the best spot to witness 5 gallons of Tannerite going off - Who needs the tripod anyways - Gettin' ready for a 950 yard shot - Grenade (inert warhead) launching - Some gear - Uzi rocks - (5) gallons of Tannerite, almost everyone contributed a bottle or two - Prepping for another shot ... An exhausting but killer weekend! Carbine10 and his son were absolute great campsite neighbors - the BEST! |

I just realized how much New Jersey sucks. I am moving to AZ and buying a 90mm gun. Awsome pics

I dig the pics WW....I am excited about the Big Sandy shoot in October. Whereabouts were y'all at?

... Damage, Inc. Some folks got some killer footage & pix of the cannon and other cool shots. I'll link some of those later. |

THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT VIDEO!!!
oops... there is a video... but... it's in fucking quicktime. Fuck that shit. Get video in MPG or something more common! |
And a five gallon tub of Tannerite to hit with it!! |
How much would a live morter or cannon cost?
Are there any transferable cannons or morters around? Those are some sweet ass pics, GOD BLESS AMERICA THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. |
Please tell me you have pics of 5 gallons of tannerite going off!
Civilians can own artillery like that?!?! Damn. I gotta get me one of those!
... Ha, those were probably the most FAQ I heard this weekend ... That is a transferable 90MM cannon. I hear each reloaded round runs ~$70. The cannon is a DD and Damage, Inc. can get you your own for about ~$75K ... Here's a funny video (camerman was Turkish I think) of the cannon firing, some still and the Tannerite. What was funny was that the shooter kept missing until a fellow AZ ARFCOMer took over the reins to finally "Get'r Done" ... (19MB dial-up warning) Cool Shoot |
anyways, it looks like y'all had a great time! i wish we had field artillary at our shooting meets |
Man, there ain't anything more fun than a good ol' machine gun shoot!!!
ETA: Just watched that "Cool Shoot" video. Damn I wish I was there!!! That friggin 90MM is unreal!! The car alarms going off in the background after the big Tannerite explosion was pretty cool!! Must have been a hell of a blast! |

Hey Winston, my brother just moved to Tempe to go to ASU. Kick his ass for me will ya?
I'm stuck in eastern Washington going to school in the snow. |
I need to weasel my way into the hearts of the AZHTF guys. Sheep |

Arizona........looking better all the time. After two visits, I liked it a lot. After these pics, I like it a whole lot! Hawaii has the finest weather in the world, but it is an anti-gun socialist hell! Thanks for the great pics and for reminding us that there are great, free Americans still in this country.
I'm not sure that is even possible, but I may be wrong. |
Great pics and video. Thanks. Did ya'll have plenty of flashlights for nightshooting? |
Unreal Wolf - man I need to move.
Tell you what. The last piece of the puzzle is the schools in your state. Once I solve that, I'm on my way. |
OH big deal!!!
We got the SAME THING here in California BUT BETTER!!!!! OK... Im lying. |
Just make sure it's the REAL AZHTF, not the neutered, beaten down, empty hall that bears the name here. |

That's pretty cool. And you guys are a very mean tease by posting this in GD.
Man, if only WA was more NFA friendly. Stuipd Army moving me to an NFA-unfriendly state. |
Damn straight! Here in AZ: We love our toys! We love our wimmins! We love our friends! and if you mess with the cactus, you get all the pricks! |

Mixing that Tannerite by hand couldn't be toxic.........naaaaaaaaa.
This whole stupid "Improving myself and my lot in life by going back to school" thing is killing my fun. Why can't going back to college in my 40's be more like high school? |

What you are kidding right? We have been talking about this for like 2 months at arizonashooting.com. you didnt see all the threads? |
All the discussion was in the "Organized Shoot" forum. I thought that forum was for match-shoots so I didn't frequent it as much. Oh well. There'll always be another. |

For you it certainly isn't. |
