This is for all intended purposes this is military and weapons web site. Most people who frequent this site are police, soldiers, marines specops contractors or extreamly knowledgeable weapon experts. The people who frequent here have more knowledge about weapons and tactics than most humans will ever know. Some of the shit we know would scare the living fuck out of most humans. Most of my topics have tried to bring some of this knowledge out of you guys so I could see what is the general consensus about differerent history military and weapons topics. This board is great for shit like my topics. Arnt my topics as least as exciting as people who parade there pics of their kids or pets. They must be I get a lot of replys and a whole lot of great information. The people who frequent here know information few humans have

ha ha ha even I dont like some things. I still hate socom 2. But am looking forword to Socom 3 guess someone at sony and the other companies I emailed got my point. I must have sent hundreds of emails.

On any given week I send out a shit load of emails. I have nothing to do in between criminal justice and education classes. I have sent out at least a hundred emails to senators, NRA people and a biblical flood of emails to gun owner friend Jeb BUSH

Why do you say that. I have talked to a lot of gun owners who now less than nothing about their firearms. when ever I meet a new gun owner I tell them to check out this site if they want to learn something about guns and gun use. Have you talked to most people they dont know anything when it comes to firearms. I have a lot of police friends who dont know weapons from there anuses.

There are operators here; in time you'll figure out whose opinions are worth something. But this board is primarily for gun enthusiasts to come here to shoot the shit and talk shop.

Are you kidding. Talk to people at the range most of them know next to nothing about firearms. Hell some of the things I read on here are really informative. I have never been able to learn so much about weapons before I started reading some of these topics and Iwas in the military for six years.

I learned by reading and listening (and figuring out who to listen to) before opening my mouth. For good reason, because those first questions I would have asked would have been ignorant and silly like yours. Unfortunately, most of the replies to your topics have been joining in the pissing match instead of pointing out the problems with your questions.

Better? Better at what? for what mission? Those were way too vague questions that you asked about infantry. Nothing operates in a vacuum: every nation and service's (well, if they know what they're doing) units are trained and equipped precisely to work in concert with supporting and adjacent forces. Nobody in a modern first-world army fights alone. To take a unit or their equipment out of their context (especially on a broad scale like "infantry" - what sort? mechanized? light? medium? assault?) and compare them on general terms (better for what?) is foolishness.

Why all the hostility? My questions were based on information holes. I am truly sorry if I did not ask my questions to your likeing I will try harder in the future to please everyone with my question. Basically my questions are asked because of my ignorance on the subject

My question to you is why do you believe that? I was in the military for 6 years and have seen infantry commanders and platoon daddies who new next to nothing besides what they absolutely had to know. I have learned more about weapons here than in the military.

My infantry question was based on an observation I made at Fort Hood and Fort Stewart. In two different excersises I observed canadian infantry out perform the best battalions of the First Cav and the 3rd infantry. Our finest mech infantry was out performed by leaps and bounds at the range, during force on force training and during road marches and pt. There soldiers were exceptional at shooting and humiliated our top shooters on the qualifying range. So my questions reflected basic infantry based on my info and observations.

When I was talking about what infantry know I was not talking about weapons. I am talking tactics, vehical and plane identification. survival tactics. ambush tactics. and other important combat and tactics info that these leaders not only were ignorant of but didnt even think was important info to know. I once had a training officer belittle me because I brought up the suggestion of intensive urban combat training that my battalion wasnt doing. That jackass didnt think that urban warfare was important. This was before Iraq. I even gave the batt commander hours of research I had done on urban conflict and how the future battle field would focus on urban conflict. I had tons of info on somalia and chechnya.
