They bleed like little mothers but for some reason I don't mind cutting and digging them out. My preferred tools are a razor blade and toenail clippers.

Anyone else do the same?

I'm probably going to sound like a looney for this, but, how much fun is that?

Digging them out is, well, kinda cool.

Hardcore! I will have to try that next time. I can't remember the last time I had a wart though. I used to cut them out all the time.

Well sure. That takes a trip to the pharmacy. Self-surgery is a spur of the moment kind of thing.

I've cut a few off with a sharp knife. They hurt like hell
until you get about a third of the way through. Hard to
get the bleeding to stop too.

Ripped a planter's wart out by the root from the ball of my foot one day with the nail-cleaning portion of some clippers, tweezers, and ice. Never came back.

Don't you need a mirror to dig out genital warts?

Yes, but the last three times I tried that, it took over six months, and in one case over a year, for the wart to go away.  By ripping-out most of it then keeping it covered with an aspirin under a bandaid, I can usually get rid of them in a month.  It's a lot more painful, but worth it.z

my wife and my friends think i am a little nuts, but yes, i use a spyderco police knife as a scalpal and simply remove the wart - they never come back.  not really much bleeding either.  much easier and cheaper than going to the pharmacy.

used to get one on my finger I'd keep clipping off with fingernail clippers, kept growing back, kept clipping it, then it gave up and never came back.  Yeah they bleed kinda funky.

I guess I'm just too much of a wimp to dig out my own warts. I can't even imagine a chick doing it.

two words:
LIQUID NITROGEN
Dab a q-tip in a little of it, then 'burn' the wart with it.

Fast, easy, relatively painless. My dermatologist did my couple of warts a while back with it.
Do it again once the blister goes down (in a week or two) and then again later, to make sure the root of the wart has also been killed.

warts can be treated by anything that irritates the area - you see all you have to do is notify your body of the virul infection by irritating that area with heat, extreme cold, tape, picking, cutting, etc...
you body will inflame the area and attack the virus.

That picture is just horrible!  Reminds me of the little boys who had the chewing tabacco on "The Sand Lot"

When I was 8 I had a wart on my knee and took a pair of kneedle nose pliars and pulled it out by the roots.  I instantly regretted doing that!  I haven't had a wart since.  My sisters had them but the folks had more money back then and had them froze off.
