Its time to admit it. I am so ashamed. When I was young and stupid and not knowledgable about guns. I bought this as my first handgun:
/Dsc00270.jpg) The Davis P380. I think in the 400 rounds or so I have fired in it, I have gone through maybe 5 mags that did not have at least one jam. I have scars on the back of my thumb from where the slide ripped off the skin because there is no good way to hold the damn thing. The paint....yes PAINT has come off most of the barrel. and the cast pot metal the POS is made of looks like its ready to crack at any moment. But hey, at least when I watch COPS and see a gun taken from some lowlife about 50% of the time I get to say, hey look, a davis, I have one of those. That is my confession. |

This book-www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0965678415/qid=1124627664/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-8716473-9708918?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 written by a reporter, has tons of stories about private citizens involved in self defense shootings. One guy was involved in two shootings. I think both involved multiple opponents. In the first, which was at some distance, he shot both his attackers while they never hit him. In the 2nd, against relatives of one of the shooters in the first attack, the same man was hit, but he killed two opponents, one armed with a full size .357 revolver and the other with a shotgun. He used his sights and took aimed fire in both gunfights. I forgot the exact model, but he used one of those pos 380s like a Lorcin or Raven, it had a trigger pull of something like 10 pounds.
