SIMI VALLEY — A Simi Valley man is in custody today, accused of shooting up a neighbor's car.

Police say the man was enraged because the car's alarm system was going off. The car was hit several times in the hood and front bumper.

It took officers a while to convince the suspect, 48-year-old David Owen Rye to give himself up. Police found two guns in his apartment.

He faces charges ranging form felony vandalism to gross negligence with a firearm.
