free up some hard drive space or adjust your VM. virtual memory is based on your hard drive. YTouy physical memory is probably being taxed to death and there is no more room on your physical drive for VM or you VM setrting are too low. Set the VM to at least double your physical memory.

How many icons do you have next to the clock on the lower right corner of your screen? Also, go into the start menu, under "programs" and then "startup", and tell us what's in that startup folder. Some things in those areas will be necessary, but the fewer the better.
