While technically correct, try saying the magical phrase over a cell phone. You can argue the finer points of the law with the Secret Service.

Criminal liability generally requires an overt act rather than simple words. One exception is the use of fighting words that are likely to incite another to act violently. Plus the phrase "I think I'm going to kill" implies that you haven't quite made up your mind to actually commit the act. |
