Sweet pics and thank you
I be in my bathroom if anyone needs me......... |
Were the latte drinking yuppie liberals shitting themselves when they saw "US NAVY" on the side of the boats and the machine guns and grenade launcher?
Nice pics though, thanks. |
Thanks for the pics...
I want to fire one of them mark 19's so bad.....those have to be a hoot to cut loose on. |
Oh no there are EVIL MACHINE GUNS in Seattle. Quick hide them before Gov. Greghore sees them she will confiscate them.
I played with a MK 19 a few times. damn fun toys! |
Yes. We have several major Naval Bases around the Puget Sound area. Some even have Nucs.
Nice boats and nice weapons. I even like the Edge strobe bars on top of them. Hehe.
Great pics! There's no opportunity for photo ops like that here.
BTW, what type of boats are those and how fast can they travel in open water? They look pretty sporty.
I'll bet 100 quatloos that this had soemthing to do with the Exercise Citizen Smash is engaged in -

Those are 34 foot boats used by an Inshore Boat Unit (IBU). There are several reserve IBU's up there in the Puget Sound area and they all use the 34 boats. Those are really comfy boats compared to the 32 footers that my IBU uses over here in Fujairah, UAE. It's nice to see that they have the Mk-19's mounted too.
If anyone's interested, here's a link to some pix and videos that I've taken while I've been deployed here in Fujairah: IBU-14 in Fujairah, UAE |
If those guys turn those Edge bars on and command, "Heave to!" you damn well better listen! |
I sure would hope so. Don't leave them pretty little toys out in the open for just anyone (me) to touch |
The US coast guard has the exact same boat it looks like patrolling NY harbor. Except with m249's on the bow and stern
We need a few of them babies patrolling our border with Mehico .
Seriously, nice pics, thanks AND we need some terra firma units down on the southern border. Bomber |
Some rodholders, outriggers and a big cooler and they'd be perfect. |
Tactical, yet fashionable. |
SSHHHHH......Dont tip them off that we know. |
Good god!
(starts sketching plans for small boat interdiction/ski boat hybrid) Those are hot. |
That’s what I was thinking, cause........those thin cables and biners wouldn’t stop me from walking away with some toys! |
+10000 Preach it brother! |

what kind of maintenance do you need to do on those guns? how bad do they get from the salt water?
It sure would cut down on people fish'n on your numbers! |
Yea, you can see some of him in the 4th pic. I didn't want to post pics of his face without permission. He let us board and even handle one of the M240's. Needless to say, I had a great lunch that day. |
Keep that fishing crap off those beautiful boats. Weapons Maint: The salt environment takes a heavy toll. I used to have my gunners mates check the weapons three or four times a day. That was on a PC, which is larger, but is at sea longer. I'd imagine the IBU guys get to take the guns off once in a while. |
You sure that's a sailor? I thought only Marines rolled their sleeves inside out and wore the pointy BDU covers. |
noticed there is no ammo any where to be seen..
is this a show of force to calm the sheep... mohammed opens up on the river walk/dock and they have to pull ammo cans, load them onto the ammo holders, then load the weapons aim and fire.. sorry to be a kill joy... the boats are pretty but thats what i see. |
We wear our CUU (Comat Utility Uniform) to slightly different standards than the Marines. We use sew on collar devices, for instance, while the Marines use pin-on. Marines have a new uniform, with a different camo pattern. They can wear the old ones for a while yet, but most have the new stuff on. How do I know? I have cammies on as I sit here typing. |
So what you're saying is.....the Navy doesn't know how to roll their sleeves either. Just some good natured harassment from a former Army guy. |
More like that we have more important things to do, like, you know, actually do the job we're trained to do. Sadly, it's exactly the opposite, from what I'm seeing here at Iwakuni. Too many people walking around with perfect uniforms, while it's taking me 8 hours or more to get parts from the I level maintenance unit. |
Show of force? More likely a public relations deal after an exercise. The Navy does that from time to time. They let the taxpayers tour what they're paying for.
Your quick. Would you like the guns to be locked and loaded with the public on the boat? |

I'll say it, thanks for the info! Also for doing a good job for the folks back home. Don't let any diaper heads in rubber dingeys with tarps covering "stuff" get close to you bro!
Yes. There's a squid in the fourth pic. |
