^^^ The only people that 'own' anything are the banks and the gov't. I pay rent to both of them (mortgage + property taxes).

Me and my mortgage Co. own a house, i'm a loooong way from wealthy . I eat cheap and scrimp to afford my hobby[shooting] and i am damn sure NOT going to give it up.

I own. In my area, apples to apples, apartments and homes carry about the same monthly payment. Some folks just have trouble coming up with the money down and other fees, I suppose. |

i own. and owe less than $20k on a 3/2 limestone sided single story, 2k s.f. never missed a payment. i refinanced and now fork out $343.33 a month, with over $100k in equity. i'll pay it off in a couple of years by making double payments. feels good.
