Hi.

The title says it all.

Can someone give me a ballpark of the costs involved, besides time lost from work?

Do I need to demonstrate in court that the subject of the restraining order is actively plotting to harm me?

I'm in the dark here, and would appreciate any insights.

If it's for domestic violence or repeat violence, the cost should be zero most places. If it's some other kind of RO, there will be a filing fee (usually the same as the fee for filing a civil suit) and you'll probably need a lawyer. Some more facts might be helpful - and might let some of the arfcom lawyers figure out if we could help you.

Edit.

I'll let you know how it turns out.  Not DV related.
