People post there ammo adds all friggin over the place in the EE, why cant we just have a dedicated ammo EE thread for folks to sell and buy ammo?

Because ammo is so dang hard to ship.  You have to jump thru more hoops to ship it UPS or Fed-X then you even do a firearm.  Now on the other hand, if you had ammo that you could swap locally that'd be a different story.

There are no hoops to jump through.....you write ORD-M on the box.

Sell ammo?  Hell, the stuff never lasts in my house long enough to even think of it.

Yes, I'd second that.  I recently posted ammo, and had to do it in the "Handgun accessories" forum, and then went over to the regular "Handguns".  Would much rather have put it where it made some sense.  And, were I looking for ammo, it would be easier in its own section rather than sorting through extended slide releases and ambidextrous safeties.

I agree. We need an ammo forum. I've looked myself in the past for one but came up short.

Not fer nuthin, but I don't think there'd be a huge market for a dedicated EE ammo forum. It'd be the same industry partners or dealers all the time... There's already links to them in the Ammunition forum.

UPS delivered 2000 rounds of ammo today, 1000 rounds of LC XM193 lot 100, and 1000 rounds of Federal AE.....

I recently bought a Dillon 550B and wouldn't mind unloading some of my practice 9mm and my factory Match 223 loads.  I think there are a variety of reasons to sell ammo.  Changed carry loads, try different kinds of rifle ammo.  Help some people out who are hurting for M193, etc.

I disagree, as it is now you have to scrounge around just to find the adds. If you had a dedicated thread, it would be much quicker to find the ammo you are looking for. and damn sure more conveinant.

buys and sellers alike would benefit from this.

Ive seen adds for ammo all over the place in the EE, all the way from new parts to rifle shotgun parts to the "everything else" thread.

Sounds good to me. I wondered this before and just assumed that there was some sort of NO NO on it. It would be a good place where the sellers could post if and when they actually get some in instead of calling 3 or 4 places and spending 5 bucks on long distance just to get info.

No it is not hard at all, ORM-D sticker and inform the shipper it is ammo that is all you really need.

At least all I have had to do and I do ship often.

No need for the papers then, I do have others send a letter of Ammunition statement to CYA.
