I saw in shot gun news recently that SOG was selling a "colt stlye" AR-15 for $545. It seams too good to be true. Has anyone seen these? Are they awful, or are they decent?

Read the fine print. They are built on CAI lowers. The ballance is used surplus GI parts. The lower is probably a OLY. I had an A1 from Century. It functioned, but had a bent barrel. The sights had to be adjusted all the way left to hit close to zero. I traded a mini-14 for it & later sold the rifle for about $500 I think. You gets what you pay for. I got a shit load of junk.

Saw one at a gunshow in Ft. Walton Beach in the winter. Looked like crap. Rough, would be kind. It appeared to have a spray paint finish, the furniture was nasty, really beat up. I wouldn't hit a pig it the butt with one.
