I finally got my new mailbox post finished. Last night my neighbors box got smashed with a beer bottle. We sahre a post for our boxes and this makes the third time in three weeks that a vandal has damaged our boxes. maybe this will stop most of it. Funny thing is that since the little barroom opened down the road, these incidences have increased.

My father had his mailbox run over several times in the same month.
Finally he got tired of it and cemented a 2" pipe about 1 foot above ground next to the mailbox post. A few days go by and late one night we hear this crash. So we go ouitside and see this long trail of oil going down the street. Never had the mailbox hit again. Sgat1r5 |

After loosing a few to vandals, I built my own. 3/8" steel and a steel pole with concrete. 200#s.
