IMHO:
I'd change the pistol to a Sig or Glock. Rifle is fine with the M-16 family. M240 and M249 seem fine too. No need to change the M-2 or MK-19. |

There are only 2 things I would change. The sidearm and the rifle, in part. It would be a .45 pistol. I am split betwenn the USP or a 1911A1 ala PARA ORDNANCE type pistol. Soldiers ould be alloewd to carry their own as long as the ammo was in the inventory, 9mm or .45. The M4/M16 series would remain, but I would add a 7.62x51mm Rifle into the squad. The crew served at the Plt level are good as they are. The replacement for the Browning M2 (20mm) looks promising and I would go with that. There would be a whole MTOE rewstructuring Military wide. Oh, and did I mention a draft.

The 1911A1 is definitely back in service with a few refinements like sigths, Stainless steel/ titainium, enlarged grip frame with greater capacity.
The M16 is upgraded to 6.8 SPC or even a better cartridge The M249 is upgraded to 6.8SPC or better also with stainless steel/titainium The M240 in 7.62X 51(308) is made with Stainless steel/titainium The M-2 in .50BMG is upgraded with stainless /titainium of coarse all SS would be blackened or camo |

I would arm them with a Blonde , a Brunette and a Margarita as they wouldnt have much to do except party because the entire fucking Middle East would all ready be gone.

I would not change guns...just ammo....
Hollowpoints, Softpoints. etc. And get it all from LeMas....

A nice 1911 single stack in .45 of course something like the Kimber Warrior and using a good JHP.
M4 in 6.5 grendel just to be different Saw converted to the 6.5  Biggest difference would be training. All would be thoroughly trained in small arms regardless of which service they were in. |
