What say you?
I say no, too black of a ticket, would be seen as massive pandering.
I love 'em both...might be better if Condi were Pres. and J.C. VP.
They don't come any better than those two. HH |
I would vote that ticket, however I doubt either one wants the job.Seems the best people for the job wouldnt touch it with a ten foot pole
J.c. watts is a good guy in my book. I actually met him a few years ago really nice down to earth guy.
He was asked about running for pres this was about 1999. he would'nt exactly say no. |
Watts hands down AFAIC. I can't believe all the Rice supporters around here. I think you're all nuts.
I wouldn't vote for a woman or a black man.
j/k ... but I don't think that ticket would go over too well. |
I think John McCain will surely run and and MAY get the nomination...if he does he'll probably win because he's such a media-whore...but....
I won't vote for him. |
CavVet, I don't believe "The Man" would even have a chance. |
One or the other.....yes. Both? No.
FWIW, I really, really like J.C. Watts and hated to see him leave Washington. |
I would vote for JC Watts in a heartbeat.
Putting them both on the ticket gives the appearance that you are ONLY putting them on the ticket because they are black. They are both well qualified and would serve well, but perception is reality |
I would vote for a Watts/Rice ticket. The icing on the cake would be the frustration the Democrats would be in trying to play their race/gender/victim cards in that Presidential campaign.
Sup wid dat, man??? |

If you like the direction that the country has been moving over the last 40 years, then just continue to vote Democrat or Republican, and you'll get more of the same.
No meaningful improvement of this country will occur under any Republican or Democrat. They both do very well at posturing, and saying what you want to hear, though. Both parties are fully vested into the status quo. The only hope is a third party, and with so many dupes who think only a major party candidate is worthy of their votes, then that won't happen. As a result, we will ride with the Dems or Repubs as they take us down the shitter, because we'd much rather cast our vote for who we think will be a winner, instead of somebody who would actually try to make the country better. The people are getting what they deserve. Unfortunately, the knowledgable folks have to be sucked down the shitter with the idiots. |
Or you can vote third party and it will still move the same direction anyway. |
Yep. People wanted a change in '92 and we got Bill Clinton. If you remember, he did not get 50% of the vote |
I don't think JC is ready to be President.
What is he doing now anyway? |
If JC is going to run, then he better get out and get some face time. I think JC is a good guy and a good candidate, but the leftist media will trash him, call him an uncle tom and all that BS,and also,I don't know if he is known by a lot of people. I would vote for him over McCain in a heartbeat though

Well, I will admit that comment isn't your normal hyperbole. Maybe you should stick to one word comments. |
Hyperbole is more your style. |

lol, what is with you two? You guy's have been going back and forth for as long as I can remeber. |
two accounts, one man, lots of multiple personality disorder and schizophrenia |
Mr. Allen is okay as a Senator but is not the brightest bulb in the bunch. |
All i can think is i hope its not mccain vs clinton. I dont think I would vote for either. He is one of those polotitions who try to keep everybody happy and will make non happy.
Get used to hearing his name. |

Bill is an anarcholibertarian with delusions of conservatism. He's pissed because I won't let him forget it. |
Will never happen. I would like to see Watts get back into politics so he could possibly run for the big office one day though. I would love to see Rice on the '08 ticket however.
You are an arrogant pseudo-intellectual that knows nothing about me or anyone or anything. |
Don't give up your day job for a comedy gig, Imbro. |
Almost right...I am arrogant, but not pseudo-anything, and the only thing I know about you is what you've said here...which is more than I ever wanted to know about you. You'd like to believe I don't know anything about anything, I am sure, because what I DO know threatens your tinfoil-hat worldview. |

More likely McCain - President, Rice V.P. This will be even more likely if Hillary is running strong in the summer of 2008. You read it here first. (and no I am not a McCain supporter, but if the war drags out into late 2007, early 2008, McCain might be the only Republican with legs to beat Hillary).

You would do well to limit ALL your replies to animations or smilies. Without proof to the contrary, people might assume you're wise because you keep your silence. I already know better, of course. |
