I have a 77 lincoln.  The oil pan drain plug is leaking a drip at a time, even though the drain plug is tight.  After about a week, I am down a quart.

I am ruining the precious environment (because of bush).  Please help me save the world.... For the children.

Cut a gasket to fit around the plug out of an old leather glove.  The leather will get wet with oil and swell up a little, stopping your leak.

Well, you could quit your job and go on a tour of the nation, searching for Bush's nefarious plan and how it affects you, then write a book about it, get a $4 million advance from a liberal publisher, sell 20 copies, buy a jet, and come back to ARFCOM to bitch about how much gas it consumes.

Or you could just get a new drain plug gasket.

All I had with me today was a latex glove.  I tried to fashion a gasket out of that, but it did not stop the leak.

I'll try an auto store.

Thanks everybody.

I feel so bad for you.  I recently won the MT state lottery and would like to purchase a more fuel efficent car for you.  Since I am so rich now, gas prices are of no concern to me.

So, the average date with the wifey usually ends up with her in the back seat... pouring gas from the can to the tank, right?
