Another theory that may have some credence as far as life on Earth....

I dunno, but this theory makes as much sense as the pile of others do...

i belives in evolution. like dis tho.. see... you have these birds on an island and theres some sort of nut that has tastee enards...  but has a tough shell.. and theres lots of these things layin about to gobble up if you can just get past the shell... so some birds grow big beaks and they feed up nice and prosper and the other birds with the smaller beaks basically die off or move on.. so the big beak birds evolve to fit their environment....

question is.. what made them critters grow those big beaks in the first place? i mean they could just as easily grown claws or gills or extra eyes or extra ears ..

something decided that those big beaks were in order and so it was.. and then them critters evolved to fill their niche..

"What are we to think?  Does he act with intention, does he cause disaster with cunning cruelty and deliberate design?  Is there a reasoning thing behind the mask?

no, nobody "decided" that those birds should have big beaks

Exactly, it was random.  Some birds grew smaller beaks and some got retarted and some got pretty feathers and some lost their feathers.  Mutations are totally random and only VERY VERY few are positive enough to cause a species to flourish.  Under those circumstances the ones who survive pass on the new beneficial genetics until you cant survive without them.  At some point in the future you can become so genetically differentiated you become a new species and finally you cant crossbreed with similar species.

Humans have 2 chromosomes that were fused from a common ancestor with gorillas, chips and tangs.  Downs syndrom have an extra chromosome.  If people with down's syndrome had 50% higher IQ instead of being mentally handicaped they would become the new species to dominate the earth.  Instead they are another bad mutation, like most mutations are.

Some of dem birds were from ancient Roma wit Roman Beakses and others from the Levant with larger beaks and they said holy moly look at the honker on that boid.  and they mated and they had little boidies with bigger beakses.  And dey married dere cousins wit big beaks.  The Northern European boids with cute little button beaks coudln't get into duh nutses and dey croaked.  (pardon the pun)
