Was planning on having grilled Kielbasa and rice for dinner tonight. Anyone have a good recipe involving kielbasa other than grilling it?

Large fry pan (large enough to lay the kielbasa flat - I'm assuming you have one the ring shaped ones), about 1/8" or a little more water in the bottom, maybe a dash of olive oil in it if you have some, not necessary if you don't.  Simmer, mostly covered (lid sort of hanging back an inch or so, just so it's not completely covered) until done, turning  once or twice in the 15 min you do this.  The kielbasa will let you know when it's done, as it will start to split.

Because Kielbasa has a high water content, it can be successfully microwaved, though you have to have a microwave safe dish with vented lid.  Poke the Kielbasa with a fork in a few places (pressure relief). about 5 min on high.  If you hvae a high wattage oven, might want to use the 80% setting.  Don't want an explosion.

Enjoy.

Dammit, you're maiing me hungry!!!

Slice it width-wise (like a roll of coins) and simmer it in a little bit of Pepsi or Coke. Gives it a caramel color and a slightly sweet taste, but not overly so. My grandmother used to make it that way and I still do.

It is good.

Kielbasa with Honey Mustard
This is another odd kielbasa recipe that surprises
everyone. It's always a winner at parties. The best type of
honey mustard for this recipe is a mustard with more honey
texture than mustard. Very easy. Prep Time: approx. 10
Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 5 Minutes. Ready in: approx. 15
Minutes. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
Printed from Allrecipes, Submitted by Megan
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1 pound kielbasa sausage
1 1/2 cups ginger ale
1 teaspoon brown sugar
8 ounces honey mustard

Directions
1 Preheat oven to broil. Line a baking sheet with
aluminum foil. Slice kielbasa diagonally into 1/4 inch pieces.
2 In a medium-size skillet saute kielbasa in ginger ale
until they are heated through. Drain well. Arrange the
kielbasa on the prepared baking sheet, then sprinkle them with
  brown sugar.
3 Broil the kielbasa until the brown sugar melts and
begins to crystallize, check after 3 to 5 minutes. Serve the
kielbasa with honey mustard for dipping

Then throw it on top of super hot homemade mashed potatoes AND then top that off with  COLD CLAUSSEN Sauerkraut {don't forget some of the juice} and fresh ground black pepper.

There ya go!  I cut mine on the bias about 1/2 inch thick.  Place in large skillet on med.  let them brown on one side, then turn them over.   When good and brown dump in a jar of Silverfloss kraut.  Let the kraut juice deglaze the pan.  Gives the kraut a nice golden color and tastes great.

1 pkg Kielbasa
1 can Bavarian-style kraut
1 bottle beer, preferably dark but a brown will do in a pinch

Cut sausage into ~3" sections and place in pan with kraut and beer
Simmer until liquid is mostly gone, turning sausage to ensure uniforn cooking.
Devour.

Just like momma usta make.
