Dixie Chopper is a nice mower but I only paid $4800 for a comercial grade 50" Dixon.

Cub cadet is only 2700-2900.

Not sure if the quality is up there with the one you are looking at.

a comparably priced cub would be the 48" tank, it is a commercial mower. i tested them side by side and prefer the ride of the dixie chopper. i just finished doing a demo of the DC. i mowed my whole yard(1 acre plus) in about 1 hour. this was while playing with the mower and taking a long time. simply put, it is a freak. i put it in so many bad angles and it simply ate up the grass. it is the first Z.T. i have ever really mowed with and it is in a class of its own as compared to regular garden tractors. BUT, the wife doesnt like it, she wants to get the big cub garden tractor. it is about a grand cheaper and since she mows more than i, that is likely what we will end up with.

exmark, scag, toro, great dane....
any of those will last you for years and is worth every penny you spend on em.  Whatever you do, don't get a zero-turn that's made for residential use and isn't commercial grade...In my experience the pumps just don't stand up to use.
