That is a little unfair, as there are only about 40 to 60 usgi m-14s possessed by private citizens, the rest are not M-14s or they are on issue, so they could not be called "your m-14".

I had one when I was in the Honor Guard. We had a brown plastic buttstock and another- dressy wooden one for ceremonies. I don't think mine was select fire though. Only single shot.

I shoot mine once a year. Its nice to get 36 minutes of elevation without having to mess with the front sight.
