I saw Cheap Trick in a small Champaign bar about 10 or 12 years ago.  They were good as usual, but I remember how old they looked back then.

Cheap Trick is a great band...Bun E. rules.

You'll have fun.

And if you're lucky, you'll even get some cowbell!

Seen them about 10-20 times.  But their shit never gets old - love 'em or hate 'em - they can put on a show.

I saw REO Speed Wagon a few months ago and I am not ashamed. It's the original lineup. They put on a great show. I saw them at the Toledo Speedway Jam back in 81 and they are just as good now as they were then. Kevin Cronan still has a great voice.

Got all of their vinyl...used to be a big fan until they lost it.
They do kick ass live, though.

So Gary Richwrath is back in the band as lead guitar. That's cool.  I caught em' on Direct TV on the "Freeview" when they were with Kansas, that show really rocked. I even taped it for future viewing.  Cheap Trick should also be one heck of a good show. I'm glad to see some of the older bands getting back out on tour. I'd still like to see KISS. Maybe someday.

Ah..... Cheap Trick. One of my fondest memories is of a party I went to in 7th grade. I was making out with "Mitzy Vernon" (German, I guess) while "I want you to want me" played over the stereo. Great memory. I really "loved" her.

The bitch moved a week later to New York.

I won tickets to KISS a year or so ago.  I couldn't go.  I gave them to the daughter of a coworker.  She is really into music and has a lot of varied tastes, (mostly alternative and punk) but didn't know much about KISS.  She came back and was HOOKED!   She couldn't stop talking about the show.  I'm glad I was able to influence a new generaton.

Robin Zander lives across from my buddy down here.  He's a cool guy - basically a Mr. Mom.  I was pretty psyched to meet him, since I was a huge CT fan in grade school.

Well, they're a great band (and do put on a great show)... but they're no BOC, so don't go into cowbell-withdrawal.
(It could happen. )

They love those fairs! I saw them at the AZ state fair when I was 12, and again in Ohio at their state fair when I was 16 & again when I turned 21.

Always a good show.

OK - the morning after.

The schedule had them starting at 8:00 - - but I was counting on there being an opening band.  Of course there was no opening band and they started right at 8.  So I only caught the last 5 songs.  They finished up w/ Dream Police and California Man.

It was all right - seen them play better before - but the crowd was digging it.
