So how old are you guys that talk this way?

I normally frequent the darkside and it's rare there, although I frequently encounter it on other forums.

I say dude sometimes.

I guess what I'm wondering is, what would be the new cool way of saying the following so as to confuse the unenlightened?

The unprepared peasants of the village were illprepared for the blasphemies of their new overlords.

It's is the  S vr.

I think whoever had devised this new metnod of communication is thinking small.  They are only dealing in words and not the sentence.  Which, as we know is ther true key to communication.

The free world would be their hostage.

Try being a 30 something adult playing Everquest 2 with a buncg of teens running around speaking like this.  I play with a guild of professionals ranging from their late 20s through their 50s... so thankfully I don't deal with it much.  But man, it gets old fast.

Minor hijack:  I hear Curt Schilling is big into Everquest...a few other players, too.  I don't see him busting out l33t speak, though.  haha

Curt is in a major raiding guild (hard corp players focused on the end game content).  There is a great deal of controversy because his celebrity status has alledgedly gotten his guild preferental treatment from the administrators of the game.  For example, they fail in a raid that has a lockout of 7-10 days until they are allowed to try again... somehow the lockout gets reset so they can attempt it again.  I could really care less because I am no longer on the server he plays on, and I'm in a laid back non-end game guild.  So it does not effect me directly.  But yes, a lot of profesional athletes that play as well as musicians.

That's interesting.  I wouldn't be surprised if he received special treatment, but then again I'm a little surprised he'd go against the rules of the game.  I wouldn't mind getting into it, but I know it will be a major league time killer.  You try out World of Warcraft?

(This is a big-time hijack, but how far can a thread entitle "teh ghey" go? )
