For all of you guys who jump in and call various threads "gay", I thought it would be interesting to see how good you are at actually using "gaydar" to determine whether folks are gay or straight.

One of my college fraternity brothers came out as gay when I was a sophomore.  He was a pretty confused chap, and even spent a year "hitting it" with little hotties while we were all freshman, just to try and fit in.  Well, he came out and contrary to stereotypes, no one gave a shit.  

A nice benefit to having a gay frat brother was the tremendous number of hot women who followed him around, and I'm not too shy to say that I scorred with more than a few of these women over the years.  

But hanging out and drinking beers with the guy, he was always pointing out "who" was and who wasn't.

It must have hightened my perception, because I scored 17 out of 20 on the website quiz.

According to the results, I'm better at telling which women are gay than which men are.   Which is fine with me.

I worked with a gay man for almost 8 yrs. And a lesbian for the past 10 or so. Interestingly, my first impression of her was  "Dyke!" But I've learned she's a wonderful person and I've always enjoyed running into her.

I'm always correcting a friend of mine when he see's someone acting differently. He's so homophobe he acts like one. He'd just crawl into a hole and die if I pointed out his "gayness."  

So let's see how good I am.

Well, it says I got more gals right than guys, but it annoys me that it doesn't show you the "right" answers and keeps you guessing.

I am both humbled and a bit freaked out that my gaydar scored higher than a, you know, actually gay person.

Yeah, well, I'd be the FIRST to admit my gaydar sucks when it comes to the guys... `cause basically... WTFC?

I mean I probably have a FEW more str8 guys as friends than I have gay guys as friends... but be they gay OR str8... they'll at BEST be a "friend", ya know? So Who cares? Whereas a str8 GUY might want to refrain from hitting on the lesbians, as he's VERY unlikely to "get" anywhere... and he MIGHT want to be cognizant of which GUYS are gay so as to aviod being "too" friendly lest he get the wrong idea.
