Didn't have one till the girlfriend made me cut my hair, buy some shirts, take a shower, cut my nails, and clean my ears. It was way easier to just put on some camo and a hat.

This is a ridiculous post, so I'll add to it:   Chicks seem to love Calvin Klien Escape.  Really, they do.
If you can't afford that, there's always that fresh burned gun powder smell from after the range...

Hey that was not off topic. I always had a pic of a firearm with my pics. The people were given an option to talk about the firearm or my dinner [:(]

As far as cologne's it would be cKb by Calvin Klein, Drakar, Perry Ellis, Paco Robanne and an old 70's fav....Jovan Musk.

For me; Royal Copenhagen Musk.

For women; Coty Musk. Mmmm.
Reminds me of a red-headed older woman from my younger days...everytime I get a whiff of that cologne I am rushed back in time to nights of passion and learning.  Oh, wow!

I am so damn poor the only cologne I get to use is whatever samples they have out on the counter at the mall.

I would say my all time favorite is Van Cleef & Arpels Tsar, but today I use Clinque Chemistry, and that's only because the wife buys it for me (hint hint hint). In my youth I tried the usuals such as Calvin Klein Escape, Drakker Noir (which I still like), and some others. I gave up on Escape because it was just too damn strong, even with just the slightest spritz.

Lately, I just use whatever free samples I get 'cuz I really don't give a sh*t anymore. No singles bars for me, so why bother?

On a man?  I like Drakkar and sometimes Obsession.

But I think TREETOP hit the nail on the head... if a man smells good to me (it's such a weird chemical thing) then there is nothing that turns me on more than a light sweat mixed with deodorant.  ::purrrrrrr::

Myself?  I usually wear Balance by Eddie Bauer.  I have some Obsession but I think I OD'd on it a while back. [:D]

Depends on the day, usually Acqua Di Gio, or Coolwater, and sometimes Abercrombie Woods.

Used to wear English Leather when I was a kid, wanted to be just like my old man!!! :)

On ladies, I HATE musky stuff. Something light, spring breeze-ish. I don't know what it is called, but it seems only beautiful young women wear it.........maybe it is their natural scent!

Escada Por Homme Gold is a true secret weapon.  And for women there's this place in New Orleans called Yvonne LaFleur that blends custom perfume.  Every time my lovely bride wears it people ask what it is.

Prompted by Miss Magnum's post:

In a recent US News & World Report (maybe a handful of issues back), there was an article of a study done by some university, on preferred scent / attraction to mate.

They took 80 freshly sweated t-shirts, and had subjects rate them for attraction to smell. What the study concluded was that, we more prefer the scent of someone who has, a more different immunology mix, than our own mix. Restating, we're not too interested in someone who has similar immunological fingerprint, and seek the "complement" to our own.

Article also said, that most of these immunological components, aren't conciously detectable.

Have heard women mention how a man smells, fresh out of a shower, after exercise. Plain Ivory soap, after an afternoon of gunpowder, seems to be okay.

Well, first, it's certainly not 'moose drool' if that's what you're pitching![:D]

Miz Hun buys my colognes for me.  She prefers (1)Jean-Paul Gaulthier (2) Angel for Men (3) Obsession for Men.  So I go along with whatever she wants.

As long as Miz Hun is happy, I am happy!

I wear Escape by Calvin Kline. I get stopped in stores all the time by women asking me what I'm wearing. Thats how I met my last 3 girlfriends. I've never been to the mall shopping for clothes and not met a women who didn't ask me what collogne I'm wearing. Ofcorse being a great looking guy doesn't hurt either..LOL
