1st hour was the sub Squalus, "Swede" Monson and his rescue bell. Very cool.

i might as well be. the plant employs 1,800,the powerhouse runs on only 2 a shift, and one boss with bankers hours.
at night we have no supervision, and as long as everything stays running, life is easy, albiet boring, so i kill time with one eye on my equipment, and the other here.
the control room isn't bad, but the turbine shack, where i am now, is about 5'by 9' with just the basics.
i prefer the boring, it sucks when i get knocked offline or a turbine trips.

At least you get internet connectivity.

I drive around in a car for 12 hours a night protecting residential construction from theves and vandals. I get a radio and that's about it. I could probably turn it into wardriving, but I'd rather keep my job.

Tonight's my sunday, so I'm staying up as late as possible to wake up as late as possible tomorrow afternoon. I'm still getting used to this whole night shift thing.
