A woman is getting alot of media (Liberal Fucktard) spin time in Crawford, Texas. Here son was killed in action (Iraq ?) and she "Wants to know why he had to die". As far as I know, there has been no draft. He must of volunteered for duty in the armed forces. There are thousands of options for a reasonably intelligent young person in a variety of career paths, he CHOSE the Army. IMHO, the lib's are using the pain of her loss, as is she, to further their agenda. I cannot fully express the contempt I have for these people.
By the way, I am also a veteran. I enlisted in the USMC, a Volunteer force. What do you think of this
political maneuvering ? Ray

kinda like the libtard father of that guy who went to iraq and got captured and beheaded.  It weren't no one's fault but his own.  He wasn't even in the military, for that guys father to personally blame Bush and Cheney is utterly stupid.

The following message might be of interest to people in this group and is from Mark Stahl, Coordinating Committee member, Rhode Island Community Coalition for Peace:

Cindy Sheehan, nationally-recognized peace activist and founding member of Gold Star Families for Peace, is speaking at events this month in Providence and Cape Cod. Please forward this announcement to your membership lists as Cindy is an important witness for peace and deserves the widest possible audience. Following are some details on the three events.

Now that's funny!  If she was a peacenik before her son served, then obviously he ignored her.  If she became a peacenik afterwards, then she's like a criminal who found God after getting thrown in jail!  If she really is that concerned about the troops, then maybe she should send the fundraiser money to a vest manufacturer and mail some gear to the front instead spendingthe money coming to Texas to hang out Bush's ranch during his vacation!  Damn out-of-state Liberals!  Ever since the Democrats lost elections on the state level, they've been bringing outsiders to shore up their numbers.

I read that the father is a fucktard of cataclysmic proportions: placing direct blame on Bush et al.  But the mother blames "terrorists" and is somehat lukewarm to the whole invasion.

No, the Gold Star Families for Peace are an anti-war organization and have nothing to do with the Gold Star Mothers organization.

The woman needs grief counseling and comfort from other families of fallen servicemen. The media needs to leave town, otherwise she'll turn into another BERG*

* Remember Nick Berg, the civilian killed by the terrorists, his F#cktard Father is an anti-war activist blaming everyone associated with the war for his son's death. He get's plenty of exposure.

I can tell her why. It's the same reason why about 60,000 US servicement died in WWI. It's the same reason why about 400,000 died in WWII. It's the same reason why 37,000 died in Korea. It's why 58,000+ died in Vietnam. It's because he was serving his nation and carrying out the mission of defending our nation and it's interests against foreign enemies who threatened those interests. He was a soldier, one of the most noble titles that can be bestowed upon a man. That's why.

She's greiving and she is a mother. There is going to be some anger. Myself, I don't think the civilian leadership of this country does a very good job of managing wars.  Bottom line though is she will evnetually recognize and be proud of her son's honor and sacrifice. The media won't show that though, they are just using her, her grief and sorrow for their own socialist 5th Column purposes. One day, perhaps, they will be appropriately shot as traitors to the United States.

Two days ago on the news, the reporter reported that six Marines from Ohio had been killed.  Then the next words out of her mouth were, "Bush has not given a timeline for the US pullout."

I can't stand these people who's sons and daughters join the Armed Forces to get all of the benefits involved... GI Bill, Training, Signing Bonuses, Health Care etc... but don't want to stand up and do their part.

I'm especially shocked at the parents reactions. They should know better.

Hint, if you dont want to get shot at in some foreign land DONT SIGN UP FOR THE ARMED FORCES

I just took my 17y.o. son down to the Marine Corps recruiting station last week. I couldn't believe some peoples reaction to it saying; " the military isn't a good place to be right now" or "why the Marines? He's going to see combat." The recruiter was pretty straight forward with us, told my son what to expect and what the Marines could do for him if he's willing to commit 100%.  He didn't try to "sweet talk" my son into joining with a lot of promises and addressed my son's concerns about the recent news of the Marine losses in Iraq. My son now needs to get his GED and take the ASVAB test before going any further. I'm proud of his decision and hope that he will make it.

Another great answer.

I hve taken the liberty of making a minor change. To me, a person who dies in combat is forever a soldier/sailor/airman. They've earned that through their sacrifice.

She is in the process of grieving and as is often the case is lashing out in an irrational manner. This is not at all unusual when a parent suddenly has a  child that dies in an accident or violent manner. Sometimes they blame themselves or God or in this case she has blamed President Bush.

She can be excused at this point while she is grieving and I suspect that eventually she will come to terms with her son's death. What is inexcusable is the way the anti-war movement and media are using her for their own purposes.
