Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Vietnam Insignia

I got a box of stuff from my first cousin who is a Vietnam vet and in the box was some old bdu's and little things he brought home. I noticed an insignia on a Tigerstripe shirt. The insignia in tan with  black edging and a black eagle on a black sword. Just wondering because he never talks about vietnam.

I want to say that was an aviation unit. I saw that same patch on an old warhorse from the Army Guard when I was in Kuwait in 03. He was a Sherpa pilot and his helmet bag had a bunch of old Vietnam era patches on it. Now that I think of it the patch was the 1st Aviation Brigade.
