Neither. My peener was the one pushing.
Both of us knew... She dropped some hints here and there but I'd been thinking about it for a while and knew I had to lock her down... |

Honestly? She was.
At the time she was a Mormon, and they usually try to wed as soon as they're finished with high school. No flame, just my personal observation. |

i guess i did,but i ended up paying for her divorce.never understood how a guy is going to let his wife move to germany.when they only been married a short time.
been married going on 12 years now. |

IIRC it was mostly me. I wasn't pushy, but I knew after we had been dating for a few months that I wanted to marry her, and if I didn't I wouldn't get married because she was totally different than any other girl I had ever known.

SAME TIME - I think we both knew from the first or second date that we were meant to be together for the long haul & marriage was a foregone conclusion pretty quickly.
(We were good friends for several years before the first date, though.  )FWIW, I got the better end of the deal, by far.

Where is she from? LDS girls do tend to marry a bit younger than the national average, but, "as soon as they're finished with high school" is a bit of an exageration. Average is probably anywhere from 19 to 22 years old. |

Not really. More like a community thing. A lot of people in her high school class and ward (or something) fit that stereotype. I should also add (as a corollary) that pregnancy almost immediately follows. |

About the same for me except we only knew each other for eight months before we married. People said it wouldn't last. Maybe not but it has been great for the last 27+ years. |

Agree. With us, she caught me. She overheard me saying to friends, "when we get married". She was so excited. Then irony, she was the one who was getting cold feet as the day approached. |
