i was kinda impressed with the video of it trail riding on the two rear wheels
then i started wondering what would happen if you bashed the electronics sled while single tracking at speed |

The consumer focus group for that POS must have consisted of fantasy artists and 9 year old boys.
Segway has trouble with the concept of the convenience of an enclosed space for commuting so you don't show up at work soaked to the bone; their vehicles are no more useful than a horse (less so in some cases), and barely more convenient (you still have to "tie" it up somewhere to charge). |

No kidding. I don't know if they've come down in price, but when the Segway first debuted, wasn't it about $5,000? For that kind of money, which would you rather have?  OR

What really bothers me about these damn things is not just that they're expensive, but that they are slower and not as useful as a fricking bike.
Same thing goes for those gas powered scooters that people seem to love so much. |
