Probably only one out of this litter....but we'll keep more out of the next.  She'll be bred to the same Sire next time.

I totally want one of those.

Unfortunately, our current dog is a complete asshole and even considering bringing another dog into the house is not an option.

Good Luck with them!

It's a good thing that we already have two dogs that rule our castle. Otherwise, my wife would be calling ya !

I'm more accustomed to seeing black/tan beagles.  Had a black/white when I was a kid.  Wonder of wonders; it was a natural bird dog!  Pointed pheasants real good.

She is a rare type of beagle.  She will be just as sweet as can be.  Great with kids...kind to strangers...except at night.  I came home late one night...and was greeted by ATTACK BEAGLE.  Growling down the hall, running toward the noise full speed, hackles standing up...I mean the sound of it was enough to make MY hair stand up....

Woah there Sarah....IT'S ME!

She hears my voice then turns into this sweet little angel....and wants to play.

Sarah is a 13".  But you really never know what a Beagle will be until it grows up.

Sarah has a sleek American style head.  The Sire, Asty, has a boxy European style head, like this...
Asty's Sire...

Asty's Dam...

She only have 5?! Wish I was that lucky. My 10 year old YES 10 year old Brittany popped out 11 pups last year. She is about to pop again. Vet claimed getting her fixed is a bad idea because of her age. She had 11 pups...I think everything inside is ok.

Whats wierd is she didn't go into heat from age 6 to 9. Then started again and is now on her third litter. She had 10 her first time.

I'm helping to raise 2 pug puppies at the clinic. Every morning I walk the momma, feed her, then make sure the puppies get some teat time.

They're oh so cute but so ugly at the same time.

It is her first litter.  Firsts are often small.

My girlfriend says she wants the one in the middle.......

I told her we have to wait until we have a yard so it has a place to play.

So, what do prize beagle pups go for anyway?

Your girlfriend has a good eye!

If both parents were from Champions(Belgian Champ, English Champ, International Champ as the sires line is from)...a couple of grand.  We wanted purpose bred beagles.  The Dams bloodline was registered AKC at her grandparents line.  They sold off the pups that wouldn't hunt....only kept the natural hunters.  We wanted European Champion stock (deep chest, broad head), crossed with proven natural hunters.  I want the shape and size from the Champion, and the instinct from the hunters.

Sarah...the mommy from above and all her brothers and sisters did not have to be trained to bring rabbits to me.  They did it naturally...over and over again (even if I moved!!!!) until I shot the rabbit.

I said all that to say this.  The pups will be sold for $175 for females and $150 for males.  The price lower  because I don't want to mess with registering Sarah.  When I decide to sell them...I will provide papers from the Champion side.  They are impressive.  If you read about the English kennel that the Sire's father came from...it'll knock you over.  They are known for breeding multiple champs....in Bealge breeding and showing circles...they're famous.

Probably more info than you wanted but I just felt like getting that info down.

Later, Dan.
