I gave up on the whole "holiday" bullshit years ago.

When I started seeing Christmas stuff out before Halloween, that was enough for me.

Maybe when I trade suburban SoCal for the rural Rockies my attitude will shift and I can get into the spirit again, but for now.

I'm not surprised.  But then again, try getting a "spring" jacket in March, all the summer stuff is all out.

And forget getting swim stuff in the actual "summer months" because you will be hard pressed because all the fall shit is all out already.

Oh and btw, get that fall stuff early, because the winter stuff will be out.

And then, winter will come, then all the spring stuff will be out and if you try to buy winter stuff late you are SOL.

Xmas is gonna suck.

Bah humbug.

I just may buy myself a new handgun and say that's it.

I hate when holidays become retail extravaganzas.

In the 1960’s there was a children’s show that had a Christmas show in the middle of the summer so everybody could feel a bit cooler.  Then in the middle of winter they had a show expounding on summer so everybody could feel warmer.

It sounds like that Good Idea backfired.

Last night was an older Simpsons Christmas episode.

It's the beginning of August.  Why the heck are we seeing Christmas Simpsons?!

I can remember a few years back when I was in the seventh grade.  The school I went to had a band(not a very good one)  that would play during assemblies, shows, and so forth.

One day, they were playing (This was around May) and one of the songs this band was playing was:
"JOLLY OLD ST. NICHOLAS!"
