Well that was pleasant.

I just came back from the gym from my daily workout. I go to one of the YMCA(yeah yeah I know, they're antigun. thankfully I wont be going back next year) and they have these televisions lined up in front of the treadmills. I normally don't watch TV at all but this one TV in front of me had some program running called Law and Order or Wanted or something like that. Anyhow the story is, there's a group of kiddie neo-nazi wannabes who beat a girl to death. Apparently they were being influenced by this 30 year old man who runs a hate newsletter and preaches nazism.

Anyways, the only thing they charge the guy with on the show is "inciting a murder." Apparently because of how he thinks, he shouldn't have a right to free speech. One of the lawyer characters comes blabbing out in the the little courtroom stage spouting crap about how the 1st amendment needs to be limited and how it doesn't protect inciteful things. Naturally of course, hollywood being liberal, the 30-yearold nazi character is found guilty of speaking hate and preaching it to minors(even though one is 18, whoopee). So anyways the two lawyer characters are back in the judge's chambers spouting socialist bullshit about how there's still more people like Mr. Newsletter running around saying things they don't like or approve of and how they're going to have to get them too.

......and people wonder why I hate television. The character on TV was found guilty of murder because he said things the lawyers didn't like. NOTHING more. Is this the message that hollywood is trying to shove down peoples' throats? That were all supposed to conform to some liberal socialist ideal or go to jail? or worse, die?

It's funny how they NEVER blame the parents, or ask where they were during all this. Apparently it's not the parents' faults for not watching out for their children.

Were the kids in this story guilty of direct murder? yes. Should this guy have been imprisoned for preaching hate to these kids? NO! Freedom is just that, it's free. Nothing more. These kids were impressionable, but they were still human beings very well aware of their actions. Mr. Newsletter in the story was in no way directly responsible for their crimes or guilty of any crime himself. he was a piece of scum and a real hate-mongering fascist, but that's it. He was well within his rights to say what he wanted.

Liberal socialists seem to have this idea that true freedom involves a white picket fence, a nice green law and a happy liberal family conforming with government regulation and not complaining about that VeriCHIP implanted in their hands. All about how gov knows best, and it's the good of everyone. If that's their idea of freedom, then hell somebody needs to invent a time machine and send these idiots back to 1930s pre-war nazi Germany. They'd do better there and get out of the hair of people who truly appreciate and understand what freedom is. Freedom is just free. In fact, sometimes it's not a pretty picture at all, but if you want true freedom and liberty you have to deal with the negative side as well. There are no regulations and limits to free speech. NONE whatsoever. Don't kid yourself that it's good to regulate it. It doesn't solve a thing.

So all I can say now is, I sure got a better workout today with my blood pressure going skyhigh after seeing that B.S. on television. Only thing it accomplished with me was influenced me to hate the television even MORE.

The American people need to quit watching so much damn television. It's honest and truly made slaves out of them. It's influenced how they think and how their perceive things and not in a good way either. It's gotten the American people to focus more on "what if" instead of "what is." What if" is nothing more than pure FANTASY. People need to get back in touch with reality and quit letting Hollywood and the media influence their thought-process. Mankind were given brains for a REASON. It's high time people start using them again.

Quoted:
At least one poll found that a majority of respondants believes that the 1st Amendment did not protect offensive speech.

oh gee fucking whiz...... I WONDER WHY?!

"offensive" is nothing more than perception and point of view.
