tighten it down with one or two fingers, it is friction so it will give when you turn. I have it with my 33' travel trailer. When you go to back it in a tight place you can un-hook, so that you do not have to worry about bending it. Sway control is a must if you are towing a long trailer.

Think of it like the rear wheels on your car...
Even though there is no articulation, the steering is because one wheel travels at a different rate than the other. Hi Zoe.

Zoe was one of my female labs name. Just kinda sticks with you. As you use your sway control more the friction pad will wear, just like brakes, just keep it finger tight.
