I was always told to use my Debit/ CC, as the exchange rate is the actual rate with nobody making a markup on the exchange. |

Be careful with that some CC companies are charing a fee for that now. www.bankrate.com/brm/news/cc/20010416a.asp I know that one of the many agreement updates I get from one of my cards spelled it out. |

We found out a few weeks ago that the closer you get to the heart of Niagara falls, the lower the exchange rate. A mile or two away from the tourist area was a much better rate for the exchange going both ways.
Also, my wife got charged 2% on everything she used her debit card for by her bank, It's not just the credit cards that can bite you. |

Look for a casino - they pay the best
US-CAN, but they exchange back to US at the worst rate. Worst case: hit a major international back with your ATM card. You'll pay a couple of bucks, but you'll get the published rate. Crap, the current exchange rate means that lapdances this weekend will be $8.23 per song.
